A new story trailer for The Cursed Crusadesignals another delay. Previously expected a few weeks prior, the Atlus-published title can now be expected on October 25th instead. News of a demo are also out. No specific dates for that, but expect it before the retail release. Here’s what it’ll include: “The demo, which is scheduled to arrive before the game hits shelves in late October, takes players through the Assault on Castle Biron mission, a fortress siege set on a fiery summer’s eve. Under a barrage of flaming arrows and faced with a full armament of defending soldiers, the player, as Templar Denz de Bayle, must fight alongside partner Esteban Noviembre to break through the castle defenses, defeat the enemy forces, and ultimately confront a de Bayle family friend, Martin d’Algais.”

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light was a fantastic console outing for everyone’s favorite tomb raider, but the iOS version reportedly suffered from the touchscreen controls.That could all be fixed with the Android release of the game though, which will be optimized for Xperia Play and is out in November. After being out almost a year and a couple of patches for issues here and there, Gran Turismo 5is still going strong. Strong enough, in fact, for the game’s producer Kaz Yamauchi to tweet details of upcoming goodness for the sim-racing game.“GT fans, thanks for waiting… The GT5 Spec 2.0 update is coming the 3rd week of October, with DLC following a week later,” Yamauchi said in 140 characters or less. Rising Star Games has confirmed that King Of Fighters XIII will release in the UK on November 25th. The game was originally due out in October, but was pushed earlier in the month.Those that pre-order the game will receive a limited edition four CD soundtrack taken from the history of the series. As the eager eyes over at VG247 noted this morning, EA’s narrowed down the release date for its upcoming FIFA Street reboot from “early 2012″ to the more specific “March 2012″. The date is mentioned on a pamphlet included inside new copies of FIFA 12.EA’s been pretty secretive about FIFA Street up until now, but we expect the publisher to raise the curtain now its premier football title is on store shelves.

Dead Island developer Techland has revealed it’s delayed the game’s Bloodbath Arena DLC while it works towards tidying up the main game.“We are working hard to make the Bloodbath Arena DLC available as soon as possible. However, due to further polishing of the main game the finalisation of the DLC code has been delayed,” the developer said on its Facebook page.“We know that many fans are eagerly waiting for it and apologise for any inconvenience. We expect to announce a release update next week.”

There’s guns. A protagonist with a shaven head. Enemies wearing silly suits. Cover points made from inexplicable, half-constructed walls. And dreary, muddy environments.But while Saber Interactive’s Inversion seems totally generic, its underlying gravity mechanic is what pulls it into an entirely new dimension. Shootouts might be flat and predictable on their own, but they’re significantly twisted when you can jump onto the side of buildings and throw cars about.Inversion’s success will rely on its level design, but at least its doing something different. At least beyond first glance, anyway.

Amazon's deals on PC downloads continue with some of the same titles we've seen in recent weeks -- Dead Island ($36.99), Deus Ex: Human Revolution ($39.99), and Tropico 4 ($31.99). One noteworthy addition is the newly-released real-time strategy game based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones: Genesis, for $31.99. The Witcher II is being offered on the cheap at a number of places, though Amazon seems to have the best price at $23.99. Steam, GamersGate, and Good Old Games all have it for $29.99. Steam is offering 80% off the Legendary Edition of Blood Bowl this weekend, bringing its price down to just $8.00 from $39.99. Though it took longer than expected, the first downloadable content pack for Portal 2 will soon be here on all three of the game's platforms. Portal 2: Peer Review, as it's been officially titled, was announced shortly after the game's release in April. It was scheduled for a summer release, and when it began to look like Valve wouldn't meet that date, it reassured fans it would be out by mid-September. That date, too, came and went, but we now have an actual, hard date, and one that's far too close for it to slip once again. Peer Review will be released on Tuesday, October 4 on Steam, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Or rather, its global rollout will begin then, so depending upon where in the world you live, there may be a bit of an additional wait.

The closed, PC-only beta will last just five days. Beta testers have just been informed by email the schedule for the upcoming PC beta of Gotham City Impostors. Steam codes have been emailed out to those who were accepted today, and although the client can be downloaded now, the beta itself won't begin until next week -- and even then, it will only be available at select times. The beta will be playable nightly beginning Wednesday, October 5. It'll last only until October 9, and is playable from 7PM - 12AM Eastern for those five days. As it's a closed beta, testers won't be free to share information about the game. Once the beta has officially begun, testers will need to open the game to get a CD key that will then need to be redeemed after logging into Games for Windows Live.

Just because it doesn't contain any new games doesn't mean the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection can't get its own special edition bundle. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Limited Edition was announced by Konami today and is fairly modest in terms of its contents. In addition to the games themselves, you'll get specialized packaging created by Yoji Shinkawa, the series' lead artist, and an exclusive, 248-page art book titled The Art of Metal Gear Solid. Unfortunately today's announcement didn't include any pictures of the book's contents, though based on its title and length it sounds like it could be a must-have item for fans of the franchise.

While third-party exclusive support has withered away this generation for the most part, Nippon Ichi Software, publishers of the Disgaea series, have clung tight to Sony’s PS3 and PSP.It’s no surprise, then, to hear that the company’s latest title, Majo to Hyakkihei(translated to The Witch and a Hundred Soldiers) will be a PS3-exclusive JRPG.Now, we expect the unexpected from these guys, but our jaws dropped with awesome the moment we heard that the titular witch is in fact named Metallica. She’s not the main character though, rather  it’s the Hyakkihei part of the name that we’ll control. The action-centric RPG will come complete with the usual sweep of side-quests and boss battles that will undoubtedly end relationships and cause sackings.A teaser site for the game can be found here.
