Subject: Sony confirms, shows PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale Fri Apr 27, 2012 8:50 pm
Original story: And it’s real; Sony has formally announced its rumored PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale. As expected, Superbot Entertainment is developing.
And it’s pretty much what everyone expected: a bunch of PlayStation characters roughing each other up in levels themed around God of War, Ratchet & Clank, LittleBigPlanet etc. Levels showing different elements from different games (Hades with a Patapon backgdrop, for example).
:flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE Sony confirms, shows PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale
The game made its debut on GTTV with the likes of Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Fat Princess, Sly and others all shown as playable characters. Expect there to be plenty more, of course, including some from third parties.
You can watch the episode here for plenty of footage of the game, including a look at a number of stages and characters.
Battle Royale will be available late this year, on PS3
It's official, a Super Smash Bros type game is coming for the PS3 and it's called Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. In all honesty it is indeed a rip-off of Super Smash Bros, but it still looks like a good game. The roster as of now stands at
Kratos Fat Princess PaRappa the Rapper Sweet Tooth Radec Sly
However, I believe that superbot is saving some characters for E3, which are Nathan Drake, Cole Mcgrath, Nariko, Ratchet & Clank. Which would round the initial roster out to 10 characters, I guess wel'' have to wait and see, as always.
*Note: Superbot has stated that there will be 3rd party characters in the game. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is to be released this Holiday season, maybe Thanksgiving, but more likely Christmas.
Subject: TimeSplitter 4 not in the works — Crytek Fri Apr 27, 2012 9:38 pm
TimeSplitters 4 is not, not in development, Crytek has said.
The company, when asked to comment on the issue following another rumor this week, firmly says: “No, it’s not in development.”
So that’s that. Again.
They did poke a little fun at the rumor though: “For Timesplitters 4, with ever spiralling development costs, massive teams and endless crunch we decided on a more radical development strategy.
“In short, the experiment was to implement the infinite monkey theorem.
:flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE TimeSplitter 4 not in the works — Crytek
With cloning being a far too expensive option, we spent all of the development budget on buying monkeys on the black market.
“Those seven monkeys are now sat in a room with typewriters and lots of mirrors, and we fully expect Timesplitters 4 to be finished soon. Rumours are that they haven’t written any code but just tease the press from time to time. Those damn monkeys.
This one could be something special. If the kind of presentation seen in Reset 's debut trailer here is applied to the actual gameplay... we dare not dream. What you see here is all in-game, though still pre-Alpha

Do you see what they did there? If you kill phantoms, you’re an exorcist. Apparently, Operation Ghostbuster was already taken.
To ensure you receive the packs you’ve earned, set “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to ON in the online options and make sure your crucifix is handy.

Subject: Black Ops 2 pre-order cards show up at Target Sat Apr 28, 2012 12:05 pm
The cards pretty much confirm the name of the title, as well as the date, both of which have been the rumor du jour for over a month now.
Earlier this week, a viral video FPSRussia suggested the game will take place some 10-15 years in the future, and a logo for the game on the CoD website mentioned Tacitus, along with many other flashing “classified” items.
The game is set for a formal reveal on May 1 during the NBA Playoffs Tuesday night.

Two images of Marvel superheroine/villainess Black Cat as depicted in Beenox’s The Amazing Spider-Man have turned up online, courtesy of the game’s website.
Our slinky heroine, whose real name is Felicia Hardy, first appeared in in the comic series back in 1979.
She is the daughter of a famous cat burglar, who after suffering a traumatic event her first year in college, became self-trained in various fighting styles and acrobatics.
She decided to continue the family business of a burglar, tried to break her dad out of prison, and eventually meets up Spider-Man,

She decided to continue the family business of a burglar, tried to break her dad out of prison, and eventually meets up Spider-Man, only to fall in love with the fella.
Long story really, and since we don’t have much to go on as far as her story in the game is concerned, we can only assume it will mirror the comics.
The Amazing Spider-Man releases on 3DS, DS, PS3, Move, Wii, and Xbox 360 in late June, just in time for the movie of the same name.

Subject: Scrapped Twisted Metal endings show different fates for Dollface, Preacher Mon Apr 30, 2012 10:49 am
Twisted Metal’s leading lights received several different kinds of closure in David Jaffe’s original plans for the recent PlayStation 3 reboot. Eat Sleep Play originally intended to have three endings, depending on difficulty level, revealing more details about Calypso, Dollface, Preacher and the Twisted Metal universe in general.
In a video post on his personal blog, Jaffe said the endings were cut for a number of reasons, including difficulties walking the fine line between fun and cheesy, and how quickly ending cinematics hit YouTube.
A work in progress version of the original endings has already been released.

Subject: Dead or Alive 5 to Feature Transparent Costumes and Costume Specific ‘Bounce’ Mechanics Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:57 pm
Director Yohei Niibori recently gave Famitsu some new details that should please fans of the series’ more raunchy qualities. Accordingly, the individual breast bouncing mechanics of each female character will vary from costume to costume. The game will also feature costumes with some degree of transparency, but this too will vary from costume to costume. Supposedly, some costumes could be nearly invisible and have the girls bouncing all over the place, while others could keep them as concealed (and restricted) as church nuns.
:flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE Dead or Alive 5 to Feature Transparent Costumes and Costume Specific ‘Bounce’ Mechanics
Yohei-san also says that there will be a selection of remixed costumes from the past games. I’m a bit worried (mostly because of their behavior with Ninja Gaiden 3) that Team Ninja will follow the current fighting game trend and sell the extra costumes as DLC. Then again, DOA games have always included a ton of costumes for each characters, so I’m sure there will be plenty to choose from. Dead or Alive 5 will be available this September.
