Subject: PlayStation Move Ships 8.3 Million Units Worldwide Thu Oct 13, 2011 9:29 pm
Sony’s updated its sales figures for the PlayStation Move, announcing that it has shipped 8.3 million units of the motion controller worldwide. The number was announced by SCEA’s Gabe Ahn during a GDC Online presentation this week. It’s the first sales figure that Sony’s announced for the PlayStation Move since it confirmed shipments of 4.1 million in December last year. It’s unclear how many units Sony has actually sold to consumers, but it’s probably safe to say the number is in the same ball-park. After all, retailers rarely buy copious amounts of a product that’s unlikely to sell. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.pushsquare.com/32674/playstation-move-ships-8-3-million-units-worldwide/

Subject: Amount of Mass Effect 3 dialogue rivals ME+ME2 Fri Oct 14, 2011 8:23 pm
Mass Effect 3will be a chatty one, considerably more so than its predecessors; the sci-fi trilogy’s final act will have twice the amount of dialogue over the first game. That’s 40,000 lines, the game’s audio lead Rob Blake has revealed over Twitter: “We do our best to keep consistency but it’s tough with 40,000 lines! We’ve got new techniques on ME3 that improve it tho!”That’s actually almost as much as both Mass Effectand Mass Effect 2combined; the two hold 20,000 and 25,000 lines, respectively.Mass Effect 3‘s out next March. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.thatvideogameblog.com/2011/10/14/amount-of-mass-effect-3-dialogue-rivals-meme2/

Subject: Beenox developing The Amazing Spider-Man game Sat Oct 15, 2011 8:50 pm
Here’s a shocker: Next summer’s blockbuster movie The Amazing Spider-Manwill make a ton of money. Also, there will be a videogame release to accompany said movie.Everyone knew it was coming, but now we have the first official sign. On Thursday, IGN took a picture of a poster promoting the game at publisher Activision’s Comic-Con booth in New York. A Beenox logo was spotted on the poster, which means this upcoming game will be produced by the same studio that brought us Spider-Man: Edge of Timeand Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The world’s favorite hyphenated hero is returning to theaters on July 3, 2012 in the US, so we can expect the videogame release to be somewhere around that date. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.thatvideogameblog.com/2011/10/15/beenox-developing-the-amazing-spider-man-game/

Subject: Rovio thinking of going public Sat Oct 15, 2011 9:50 pm
Rovio, the studio responsible for the Angry Birdsphenomenon, is right now a privately held company. However, that could change sometime in the near future, as the company is looking into going public.“We’re not ready to file for an IPO tomorrow,” said chief marketing officer Peter Vesterbacka, “Maybe a year from now.”Just a couple of months ago, there was speculation that Rovio could be worth as much as $1.2 billion, but Vesterbacka is thinking that that figure might be a little low. About the worth of the company he remarked, “We’re happy with our valuation but we think it’s probably a bit north of that.”Exactly how much cash Rovio will fetch for its common stock when it does go public is up for debate, but we can’t blame Vesterbacka for thinking big. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.thatvideogameblog.com/2011/10/15/rovio-thinking-of-going-public/
Subject: Capcom Announces Street Fighter X Tekken Special Edition Sat Oct 15, 2011 10:24 pm
Going hand-in-hand with Street Fighter X Tekken’s March 6th release date, Capcom has also announced a special edition for the crossover title. The limited edition package includes a variety of goodies, including a rather slick “build it yourself” arcade cabinet bank and a selection of in-game “gems” which can be used to customise your favourite character’s fighting style. Also included is the game (of course) and a prequel comic, presumably outlining just why characters from the Street Fighter and Tekken universes are at each other’s throats. Probably something petty, eh? :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.pushsquare.com/32772/capcom-announces-street-fighter-x-tekken-special-edition/
Subject: Lights Out At EA Bright Light Sun Oct 16, 2011 10:28 pm
According to information reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the candle’s gone out at Harry Potter developer EA Bright Light. The British developer — based in Guilford — was formerly known as Bullfrog Productions, the legendary studio behind the likes of Theme Park and Theme Hospital. It’s spent the last few years working on the official Harry Potter games. But reports suggest that the studio is on the cusp of closure, as it enters a formal consultation process before shuttering.EA said employees affected will be offered work at alternative studios in the UK. We’d like to extend the best of luck to everybody concerned. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.pushsquare.com/32802/lights-out-at-ea-bright-light/
Subject: EA Aiming For ‘Best-In-Class’ PlayStation Move Integration In Grand Slam Tennis 2 Sun Oct 16, 2011 10:41 pm
This is music to our ears. Regular readers will know just how much we love tennis games, and how long we’ve dreamed of a tennis game that gets PlayStation Move integration spot on. Well, EA’s making all the right sounds when it comes to Grand Slam Tennis 2 on PlayStation 3.In an interview with Eurogamer, producer Thomas Singleton explained why the developer had opted to support PlayStation Move over Kinect.“The successful Kinect titles are built specifically for that platform,” he said. “They’re not built for that platform [PlayStation 3] and then made to work with the Kinect platform. The games that play well, that’s where the Move controller is treated as a peripheral versus a platform. We’re supporting the peripheral.”

Makes sense. But Grand Slam Tennis made a name for itself on the Nintendo Wii. So, why the switch to PS3?“We wanted to focus on [HD] platforms. We wanted that photo-real look,” he continued. “Developing on the Wii, it’s a different product. With the introduction of PlayStation Move we started to get excited again.“Having Move support – that ability to literally put the racquet in the palm of your hands – makes total sense. And now we can do that in high definition. We can deliver a project much like our FIFAs, our NHLs, our Fight Nights, that looks to that quality on our platforms.”Singleton believes that Move integration, control innovation and AI are Grand Slam Tennis 2’s biggest hooks, and are what sets the game apart from its predecessor.“First and foremost, our Total Racquet Control system – arguably the first innovation in the tennis category in a long time – having the ability to play the entire experience full analogue versus buttons,” he explained.

“We’ve got best-in-class Move integration – we want you to feel that sensation of controlling all the action.“Then there’s our P.R.O. AI system where, much like NHL 12’s AI, players not only look like themselves but they play like themselves. An offensive baseliner like Rafael Nadal plays like an offensive baseliner.”Honestly, you have no idea how excited we are for this game. Noidea. Our expectations are sky-high, let’s hope EA can deliver, because right now it’s talking a great game.[Thanks Eurogamer :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.pushsquare.com/32796/ea-aiming-for-best-in-class-playstation-move-integration-in-grand-slam-tennis-2/
Subject: Galactus To Be Playable In Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Mon Oct 17, 2011 12:16 am
Boss fights in fighting games are always terrible. But at least Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3’s final brawl looked cool. The ten-storey tall Galactus was a formidable foe, but a fun one. Apart from when he, y’know, killed you for the hundredth time. But thankfully in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, you’ll have the chance play as the over-powered, cheating boss character. Hurrah. The character will be locked away in “his own little mode” — presumably as a stress-buster for when you’ve died a billion times on normal difficulty. Beats smashing up your controller. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.pushsquare.com/32788/galactus-to-be-playable-in-ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3/

I'm still not buying it. Capcom made the mistake of releasing the original version with the lack of core content they did & as far as i know refuses to create a patch updating the original version to ultimate. So they resell Ultimate for $39.99 & those bought the original would have to purchase a Marvel vs Capcom 3 title yet again. Capcom can rot for all i care
Subject: Devil May Cry HD Collection Confirmed for 2012 Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:31 pm
Following previous rumors that a bundle of the first three Devil May Cry games would be released this year to celebrate the series' 10-year anniversary, Capcom has announced it plans to bring out a remastered collection of all three next year. ESRB listings for the trio were updated not long ago with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 being added as platforms, so we knew they would be coming in one form or another. Today's press release notes that they will be upgraded to feature HD graphics, bonus content of some kind, and Achievements/Trophies. Capcom recently released HD versions of two Resident Evil games -- Code Veronica X and 4 -- albeit in a different form. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.1up.com/news/devil-may-cry-hd-collection-confirmed-212
Subject: Devil May Cry HD Collection Confirmed for 2012 Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:34 pm
Whereas the Devil May Cry bundle is headed to retail, both Resident Evil games were sold individually through the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store for $20 a piece This month marks ten years since the first DMC game was released in North America on PlayStation 2. DMC2 and 3 followed in 2003 and 2005 in North America, respectively. In 2006 a Special Edition of DMC3 came out that added Dante's brother Vergil as a playable character, a new survival mode, Turbo mode (featuring faster gameplay), and other new content. It's this Special Edition that will be included in the HD Collection. Devil May Cry 4 is left out for obvious reasons -- it's already available on the current generation of systems. A brand-new game is also in the works right now called DmC: Devil May Cry. An exact release date for the collection wasn't revealed today. We simply know it's coming in early 2012 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $39.99.
Subject: XIII to return to gaming Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:47 pm
These days the term XIIImight make you think more of Final Fantasythan Ubisoft’s last-gen cel-shaded shooter. The game, while visually arresting, didn’t capture the hearts of many. That said, publisher Anuman Interactive is taking another stab at adapting the franchise for gaming, though admittedly on a smaller scale. Little is known about this upcoming game, titled XIII Lost Identity, other than that it will show up on PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad.Are you excited to see XIII‘s return to gaming? :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.thatvideogameblog.com/2011/10/17/xiii-to-return-to-gaming/

Subject: iPhone 4 million Sold Mon Oct 17, 2011 10:02 pm
Guess how many units of the iPhone 4S Apple shifted over opening weekend (without reading the title)? Two million? Nay. Three million? Get out of town. Ten million? No, that’s silly. It’s four million. Over four million, even. The device launched in most major territories last Friday. Another 22 countries will see its release by the end of the month, too. Staggering numbers like that are a pretty good testament to the influence of the late Steve Jobs, aren’t they?Apple have also boasted that 25 million customers have downloaded iOS 5 since its release on October 12. That makes it a big week for Apple in one of its most significant months since being formed. :flasher: CLICK THE LINK 4 MORE http://www.thatvideogameblog.com/2011/10/17/iphone-4millionsold/

lol I don't think a lot of MVC 3 owners are, but I do think those who didn't buy the original will buy UMVC 3, just because of the price.
