There’s still little to be said about how this will play into the game’s story as a whole – or even if it will. The one clear piece of information is that it changes the dynamic of the game. It’s going to take some serious planning and execution to make it feel right, especially when there is such a clearly defined story already in place between Far Cry 2 and soon-to-be Far Cry 3.

Also during the conference, Ubisoft Producer Dan Hay let slip that there will be Sony “exclusive DLC” for Far Cry 3, yet no other details beside that.

With the emphasis on the new cooperative side of things, it’s likely that the new DLC with cater to that part of the game, be it through new maps, customizable skins, or other goodies.

The game stars Gabriel in vampire form, seeking to reclaim his lost power to fight a new evil. As shown in this trailer he's able to feed ( hopefully that's translated into gameplay and not just cinematics) and possess all the powers you'd expect to see from a vampire. The game is slated for release next year.

A massive convention such as E3 with tens of thousands of guests requires a lot of planning and co-operation between organizers and city officials, hotels, and dozens of other services. With the amount of money that hosting E3 would pump into a city it wouldn’t be a surprise if other cities we’re calling up the ESA to try and get them to move.
As the convention is so massive planning will have to begin as soon as possible, meaning we’re likely to hear a confirmation of location and date soon, especially because we can expect new console unveiling at next year’s E3, which will make it all the larger. Who knows, maybe we’ll be going to Las Vegas next year!

No information regarding a release date for the upcoming multiplayer extension was provided.

Another bit of Mass Effect 3 DLC, The Extended Cut, which aims to address player complaints that the core game’s ending didn’t reflect personal choices, will be released for free sometime this summer.
