Shimbori said he himself once struggled with holds, but is reasonably certain he can make the more complex system user-friendly.

“Of course, we will make it so new players can still have fun with 4-point holds. I had some beginners on the team try it out, and they said that they could use 4-point holds with a little practice,” he said.

“So I’m thinking of putting in an opportunity that gives that little bit of practice.

“Thinking back to my own experience, it wasn’t like I was able to do holds perfectly from the start either. Once you get the hang of it, holds make the game a lot more fun,” he added.

Apparently Shimbori has more changes to share with fans, but probably won’t spill until after E3 2012.

Dead or Alive 5 is expected in September on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Inversion is still set for release in the US on June 5, a Namco spokesperson has told Joystiq. It was announced over the weekend the game had been delayed into July, but that’s just for Europe only. Still no details on the why the European release was delayed.

Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer for the Far Cry 3 trailer it will be showing at E3 next Monday, June 4. The full trailer will be viewable through a live-stream of Ubisoft’s press conference on YouTube, which starts 3.00pm PDT/6.00pm EDT/11.00pm UK. Far Cry 3 is out in September for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Square’s going big on Hitman Absolution ahead of E3 next week, releasing a teaser image for the E3 trailer of the IO action sequel before its general release tomorrow.
Not much to say on it, though. There’s guns, a group of women and the word ‘Tease’ written behind them.

Going by what we’ve heard, you’ll definitely need to see the trailer tomorrow. That’s all we’re saying. It’s going live tomorrow from 1pm BST.

Crystal Dynamics global brand manager Karl Stewart has hinted at a major Tomb Raider announce during SpikeTV’s pre-E3 show tomorrow.
Don’t forget to mention that we have a VERY big announcement off the back of the Tomb Raider trailer reveal,” Stewart said in response to a tweet from GT.TV’s Geoff Keighley hyping the show.

The trailer will be shown during Episode 519 of GT.TV; a teaser has been released showing off some small snippets of gameplay.

The episode will air at 10:00PM PT on May 31.

Insomniac’s announced Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PSN on the US PS Blog.
In Europe, it’ll be known as Ratchet & Clank: QForce. It’ll release here on Blu-ray and on PSN
The game will head back to its classic 3D perspective instead of the route it took with last year’s All4One.
Full Frontal Assault’s launch will come in the year the Ratchet & Clank series will celebrate its tenth anniversary.
“We’ve returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play,” said Insomniac CEO Ted Price.

Tecmo Koei has announced Dynasty Warriors 7 – Empires which will be released exclusively on PS3 in Japan, where it will be known as Shin Sangoku Musou 6 Empires. The Empires version of the game adds Xu Shu, and more information on the title is expected later this week. Andriasang notes it’s possible the game will see a release in other regions on Xbox 360 as well as PS3.

Heavy Rain studio Quantic Dream is set to reveal, a new game at this years E3. The studio's founder David Cage will be taking the E3 stage to reveal the upcoming game. It's been stated that SONY hopes to "steal" E3 with QD's presentation. All this is set to happen this upcoming Monday on June 4. It's also been revealed that QD is working on two projects for SONY. However, it is unknown as to whether or not both projects are for PS3.

After the emergence of the game’s logo yesterday, the first screenshots of Dead Space 3 have appeared online ahead of a expected announce at E3 next week.
AGB‘s gone up with the first screens of Dead Space 3.
The site has six shots in total.
Issac Clark does still feature, but the screens also show a second person fighting alongside him in action. This may add weight to the talk surrounding a drop in, drop out co-op mode for the game.
The shots also show the game’s new location.

The game’s logo and a smaller screen appeared online yesterday. On Tuesday, a graphic novel trailer showed a new character in the Dead Space universe whose story looks set to be expanded upon in DS3. It’s probable the guy alongside Issac is that character.

EA announced at the start of the month a new Dead Space game was in development, but wouldn’t elaborate further than that.

The coming together of Persona 3 characters alongside the cast of Persona 4 in Arena is a move that, according to Zen United, is “natural”.
Arena’s story takes place two years after The Answer in the FES version of Persona 3. In Persona 4′s timeline, it’s two months after the events of the game.

Alongside Persona 4′s well-known group, Arena will feature P3 characters Aigis, Mitsuru Kirijo and Akihiko Sanada, all three of which have aged a bit since to match the game’s timeline.

Zen United director Geraint Evans reckons the inclusion of P3 into the world of P4 and Arena will be an interesting one.

“Persona 3 and Persona 4 have very distinctive art direction, so it’s been interesting to see how the two combine,” Evans told VG247 after Arena’s European announcement at MCM last weekend.

“The Persona 3 characters have undergone some changes in appearance. It’s been two years since Persona 3 in terms of the Persona Universe, and these changes, as well as their past history, are explained within the substantial story mode of the game.”

Evans added: “When you have Atlus’ designers and scenario writers combining with Arc [System Works'] skill in 2D artwork and fighting you have a considerable pool of exceptional talent to draw on, and it really shows in Persona Arena.
