TechCrunch has a possible explanation for why OnLive declared ABC bankruptcy to reform under its new owner rather than a straight-forward acquisition. According to the site’s sources, by effectively laying-off its entire workforce – although many will be rehired – the company has nixed any equity entitlements its staffers held. This would make OnLive a much more attractive purchase thanks to a substantial reduction in price.

Dead or Alive 5′s line-up of combatants isn’t yet complete, Team Ninja boss Yosukle Hayashi has confirmed. Hayashi hinted that more Dead or Alive 5 character reveals are on the way while speaking to VG247 at gamescom, but was more explicit when talking to Famitsu, via Andriasang.
The Team Ninja boss reportedly confirmed that the full cast list is yet to be announced, with more characters on the way – possibly even after launch.
As he mentioned while speaking to Daves, Hayashi said that he has some mysterious plans involving Virtua Fighter character cameos.
Dead or Alive 5 is due in September on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

DmC gameplay footage used to be thin on the ground, but suddenly we’re drowning in it. Got a spare half an hour? Settle in.
275,000 people went to gamescom and saw DmC in action, but there are about 7.034 billion people on this planet, making your chances of having been among them roughly one in 25,000 (maybe; I’m not here for my maths skills).
During gamescom, it was hinted that a follow-up to DmC may be on the way, and Vergil was revealed as a playable character. The Ninja Theory-developed title is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in January 2013.

I rather keep playing Bayonetta. That's all the DMC-Reboot looks like, a cheap Bayonetta wanna be. A fighting style that's wasted on that, i'm so far from being impressed by this. Each time i see DMC-Reboot vids the combat style just screams Bayonetta. There is nothing that makes me wanna drop Bayonetta & jump on the DMC-Reboot bandwagon. I mean seriously it mimics Bayonetta more & DevilMayCry less. MetalGear Rising looks far more impressive.

As well as some cinematic and plot stuff, there’s a fair bit of gameplay footage and some awful puns in this gamescom 2012 trailer. Doesn’t it remind you of the anime previews on every Madman VHS in the 1990′s? Only with any luck your mum can’t veto this one because you’re a good 12-22 years older than you were. Aces.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’s release date was locked down during gamescom for February 19 in the US and Europe, and February 21 for Japan, on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Dave took a look at it, and even had a chat with Platinum Games.

I agree, DmC's gameplay mechanics are a failed attempt at replicating Bayonetta's fast pasted action. DmC is a mockery of the hardwork that Hideki Kamiya did on the original DMC and Bayonetta. I also agree about MGS: Rising being more impressive, I'm personally excited about it.

Yea at 1st MetalGear Rising looked very repetitive & dull but now i'm very impressed with it. It's following Raiden so anything out of the ordinary would fit in with Raiden's viewpoint. The DMC-Reboot is i don't know, if this was an early Jeanne Bayonetta build i'd say okay, but this is looking finished & i don't like the rebooted DevilMayCry attempt because it's a poor one. ALOT of those attacks & fighting styles are a poor Bayonetta mimic & it's so funny how many people on the DevilMayCry forum is jumping all over this.

Yeah, it really is funny how self proclaimed hardcore original DMC fans are now saying they're going to try the game. I'm sticking by what I said and will not be playing DmC in any form or fashion. To each his own though, the DMC franchise is officially finished as is Resident Evil.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, is SquareEnix's latest installment of the long running series. The game will follow Final Fantasy XI's path, in that it will be an online only game i.e. an MMO. The game is slated for release later this year, with a beta due out this winter.

Agreed. Once ResidentEvil6 shown cover based combat i lost interest for it being horror. LostPlanet3 & DeadSpace3 replaces & does what ResidentEvil6 should've, & that's horror.
DMC-Reboot, if Capcom is an outside development team completely rework a well known title like DevilMayCry then i really think Capcom has some serious issues.

Resident Evil 6 is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in October. It’s going to launch alongside a community service called ResidentEvil.net, and has a sweet new multiplayer mode called Agent Hunt in which you can be a monster and invade veteran players’ games. If you pre-order you can have an Umbrella umbrella.

Rockstar has announced the upcoming free Disorganized Crime Pack DLC for Max Payne 3 will arrive on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 next week. The Disorganized Crime Pack includes the Hoboken Rooftops multiplayer map, new modifiers for Score Attack in Arcade Mode including Explosive Rounds, Lone Wolf AI, Headshots Only mode, and a new Noir Mode, which lets you play through the single-player campaign in black & white noir. Max Payne 3 – Disorganized Crime releases August 28.

Metal Gear Solid 5 motion capture work is currently underway. Silent Hill 4 motion actor Eric Bossic has just finished some work on the game with Kojima Productions, but he has warned that the game is a long way from finished. In an interview with Silent Haven, Bossic discussed his recent work with Kojima Productions, “My past motion capture session was for an upcoming Metal Gear game, I will be back with Kojima again in the fall, and maybe other sessions. This title is a long way off.”
When asked which Metal Gear project he was working on, Bossic added, “I am working on a future metal gear, not to be released until next year sum

Hitman: Absolution’s multiplayer isn’t cross-platform, but with a little ingenuity you can manually bring content from one system to another. Designer Torben Ellert told Joystiq that for various reasons the developer was not able to implement cross-platform multiplayer between the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Hitman: Absolution.
That said, Ellert expects the fan community to quickly figure out how to import a contract designed by another player from one system to another. Contract ID numbers begin with a code designating platform, while the rest explain the specific conditions of that piece of content, so once players figure out the rules, they’ll be able to

Both of our heroes used to be lizards, apparently.
