The guy torturing Raiden sounds like Solidus, that is indeed one brutal looking scene. I personally think they should have showed these torture scenes via CGI, and really don't understand the live action trailers as of late, not only from MGS Rising, but Prototype 2 and others.
I really don't get that either, adding brutal realism to a video game doesn't really help the fight against parents blaming children's behavior on MRated games.

Due to release next month, The Amazing Spider-Man is the tie-in game for the upcoming motion picture. Beenox came released a trailer today of their “Web Rush” feature. In Web Rush mode, everything around Spidey slows down, allowing for on-the-fly navigational and battle decisions to happen in a quick and flowing fashion. This is the first video game based on a movie release that has excited me since… well, Spider-Man 2. Hopefully Beenox provides a fun and active way for players and Peter to get around New York. The Amazing Spider-Man releases on June 26th, keep an eye out for the jaw-dropping gameplay.

Subject: New Characters Rumored for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Fri May 18, 2012 10:13 pm
Namco confirmed that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 would come to consoles with more features and characters than the arcade version, but there’s been no word on who these characters could be. However, today Gamespot added three new pieces of art to its TTT2 gallery. These pieces depicted Ogre (in human form, the same form that appears in Street Fighter X Tekken), Kunimistu and Angel. For some reason, these images later mysteriously disappeared from the website, but they’d already been spread. This looks like legitimate promotional art to me,but that’s only an opinion. It should still be tr

Subject: Japanese Game Developer Apparently Harassed So Much, She Attempted Suicide Sat May 19, 2012 12:25 am
It seems Capcom has become entangled in a lawsuit which puts their work environment and work ethics under fire. The lawsuit is being filed by a former female employee, who claims she was harassed/mistreated, as a member of the Dragon's Dogma development team. Thus resulting in her attempting to take her life by overdosing on anti-depressants, sleeping pills and cold medicine. Suffice it to say, she didn't die, but instead sleep for four days. How ever the lawsuit turns out, it won't be good for either party involved. Capcom is losing money, so if the female wins, she can't expect too big a payout and if Capcom wins, the woman's reputation is forever ruined. (the boy who cried wolf, in this case the girl who cried wolf)

Subject: Project Copernicus gets first footage; possibly out next summer Sat May 19, 2012 9:35 pm
The very first video of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning developer 38 Studios’ upcoming MMO — still codenamed Project Copernicus — has made itself available, giving us a first look at the game through nearly two minutes of flythrough footage. After being unable to pay off its dept and employees, there’s a bit of good news originating from the studio as well; it has managed to make the first payment of just over a million to Rhode Island (via).
When delivering the news to the media, governor Lincoln Chafee also seemingly slipped out the planned release window for Copernicus: “What I understand is Copernicus is June of ’13,” he said.

Subject: To Pirate or to Protect: That is the Question Sun May 20, 2012 8:48 pm
To the delight of gamers across the globe, many of the larger gaming companies in the market today are contemplating the true usefulness of DRM. Customers have always complained about the DRM, and sometimes rightly so; although it has good intentions, it also has a tendency to perform game-breaking antics, the likes of which were experienced with the recent Diablo III release (error 37, anyone?). Although this is no indication that the gaming industry is simply giving up on preventing pirating, it may indicate a change in thought on how this delicate issue should be handled.

Marcin Iwinski, CEO of CD Project Red, recently commented in an interview with Forbes:
Gamers download [pirate copies] because it’s easy, fast, and, frankly, costs nothing. If they like the game and they start investing the time, some of them will go and buy it. This is evident in the first Witcher, where the total sales are 2.1M units at present and the game is still doing well, although it is already 5 years old.
winski makes a strong case for the abandonment of DRM. CD Projekt Red had adopted RIAA policies in the past as an alternative, but backlash from leagues of fans forced them to drop the changes and simply stop using DRM and RIAA policies altogether. Fellow giants like Blizzard, however, show no signs of stopping DRM, even with devastating bugs and errors plaguing its wake. Whether or not CD Projekt Red’s precedence is followed is yet to be seen.

Subject: Bungie’s new game exclusive to Xbox, 2010 contract shows Mon May 21, 2012 10:25 pm
The full 2010 contract between Bungie and Activision has come to light, revealing some slim, potentially revised details of the Halo developer’s new projects. The LA Times published the entrie 27 page contract between the two companies.
While details of the deal may have changed since the 2010 agreement, the contract locks Bungie into a four game deal, for a series of “action shooter” titles.
The original plan had the first title, code named Destiny, down for a late 2013 release with sequels to follow every second year thereafter.

Subject: Re: 69Osom GAMER's SOULS REBORN (Apr 27 2012 - Nov 12 2012) Mon May 21, 2012 10:27 pm
The first release was expected to be exclusive to Xbox consoles – either the 360 or its successor – but the franchise would later expand to PC and PlayStation.
The contract also covers four expansion packs, codenamed Comet, to be released on alternate years beginning in 2014, meaning the studio would have a major launch every year.
Interestingly, the contract outs a bonus of $2.5 million to be paid to the developer should Destiny achieve a 90 average critical rating; although bonuses of this kind are not uncommon, Develop claims it is likely the largest critical bonus pay out to be made public. Bungie signed with Activision after severing ties with Microsoft, which fostered the company through its years as Halo’s creator and developer. 343 Industries has since taken over.

Square-Enix has updated their YouTube page with a new video showing off the Snow’s Story DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2. The first part of the video focuses on the fight against Snow himself, while the second part shows the battle with Valfodr which will reportedly be the most difficult fight in the entire game. You also get to see a lot of the new DLC costumes for the characters. Noel looks completely ridiculous, but doesn’t Mog look adorable in the new getup?
